Suggested ways to develop the project after implementation

Expand the project to provide the following:

Renovating the Al Beit Al Iraqi building and removing all the signs of destruction

Re-establishing a centre with a contemporary international outlook, acting as an incubator for the Iraqi Crafts and Heritage with the following facilities:

an avenue for craftsmen to exhibit and sell their products;

an area for workshops for the craftsmen to work side by side with the academics in promoting and training newer generations to preserve Iraqi crafts;

a state-of-the-art video conferencing room to enable academics interested in the preservation of heritage exchange knowledge with similar experiments in the outside world, using both face-to-face and remote conference technologies;

a multipurpose lecture room to host activities such as lectures, small concerts and performing art events;

a library and archiving centre equipped with different archiving and research facilities;

a small cafeteria offering refreshments to visitors to Al Beit Al Iraqi;

an area for children to introduce them to arts, crafts and learning language skills; and

 a website to cover Al Beit Al Iraqi events, as well as e-business and e-training facilities

We need to train staff for managing the project

We need to train construction workers to rennovate the place which was damaged due to years of occupation by squaterers
