Project name and the idea
Nisaba for Teacher Training
Nisaba is the name of the Sumerian Godess of writers and and economic wealth in Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia where the first schools or Odebas were established needs support in the educational sector, to enable future generations the skills to adapt to the global challenges. Nisaba, the project is being established to work with schools and universities to create a centre where teacher discussions on challenges in T&L can be addressed.
The main focus of the short training courses provided is to address the teachers with skill sets enabling them to become mentors in classrooms that foster:
- Critical thinking
The centre will also will partner with schools and university as advisory for projects related to the development of EdTEch capabilities (people and resources)
Training courses will be both face-to-face and online
Targeting sector ( industrial, agriculture, services, food industry, Telecom, …)
Institutions of public eduation and higher ed
Private schools and universities
MOE and MOHR (government entities

Improving the standard of education in schools (k-12)
Improving the standard of education in Technical Institutes (vocational)
Improving the standard of academic education in HE
Following best practices in education technology training and localizing them for the Iraqi market
Acting as a bridge between educational institutions abroad and local institions
Acting as a platform and open space (both physical and virtual) for teachers and educational administrators to exchange best practices and ideas in T&L and collaborate.

ASAP. I am working alone in this project at the moment with some support from Mr. NAssiri and an advising board of academics to be expanded later to include a feasibility consulting board

The study part is under development. This will partner with other projects under development

Yes. The location is near Tahrir square in Baghdad. (Al Beit Al Iraqi previously)

- Work with trainers abroad
- MOU with Educational Faculties at Foreign Unis (to establish exchange of training)
- MOU with MOE and MOHE (Iraq) to be the centre of excellence in providing teacher training and participate as a consulting body for Education Policy in Iraq (Curriculum development, EcuationTech used, types of Iraq based assessments, etc)
Do project staff require training? What type of training?
We provide internal training. Program Manager already trained in PM and oiher soft skills
Does the project require foreign staff / number and specialization
Foreign staff will help in training the trainer, and some teacher training. At the moment we invision teleconferencing (Zoom, Skype)
Are there advertising requirements for the project?
Not commercial but rather high end marketing yes

Yes, it is linked to Al Beit Al Iraqi and with the future plan for a startup incubator in co location
