Welcome onboard Noah’s Ark.
Almost all startup incubators share the common idea of mentoring entrepreneurs. The mentors are usually people prepared to accompany the entrepreneur throughout his long project journey. Usually the idea is to provide moral support as well as being there at times when things go critical with the projects. We believe that irrespective of the global average percentage of contribution by mentors towards project success, in the Iraqi case this percentage is nearer to double the figure. This assertion is due to the many critical factors affecting Iraqi entrepreneurship. It suffices to say that our youth are under immense societal and self-generated pressures to give up on their projects. It follows that mentoring a young Iraqi entrepreneur is not a straight forward exercise. Mentors need to have deep life experiences behind them to be able to handle these entrepreneurs.
To start with, please register on Noah’s Ark, using “Mentor” profile type. Please fill in the information required by the registration form and include some information about your life experiences professionally, or managerially, or simply life experiences. By creating an “Mentor” account entrepreneurs will be able to find you, and approach you directly with their projects. Conversely you can use the search tools to find the right projects and entrepreneurs who fit well with your outlook and preferences. Then you can talk directly with the entrepreneur either publicly or in private.
Due to the special nature of the entrepreneur-mentor relationship, we do not publicly show who is mentoring who. Furthermore, we do not look for any specific qualifications to be a mentor on board the Ark. Our only condition is that mentors are able to allocate enough of their time in a relationship that can probably be long term.
